Summer Road Trip Giveaway
WAFY is participating in an on-air Contest called “Summer Road Trip Giveaway” starting on Monday July 8th 2023, and ending Friday August 2nd 2024.
At approximately 8:45am Monday through Friday, WAFY will announce the approximate time of the daily contest. At the time announced, a specific “Sound” will be played on the air.
Once hearing the “Sound”, listeners will be invited to TEXT the word “SUMMER” to 301.620.1031. Entries will be accepted for sixty minutes (contesting time) after the first time the “Sound” is played. The “Sound” may be played multiple times in the sixty minute contesting time. Data fees may apply. WAFY and Manning Media are not responsible for technical difficulties. Entries outside of contest time will not be accepted. Streaming audio could be delayed for several minutes decreasing a streaming contestant’s chance of qualifying during the sixty-minute period.
There will be a total of 20 daily prizes and one Grand Prizes. The Grand Prize is awarded at the end of the contest (after 8/2/2024). The Grand Prize is randomly drawn from all daily winners from WAFY and sister station WWEG. All winners must be 18 years or older and will be responsible for all taxes. To receive the prize, the winner must provide a photo identification and supply their Social Security number for tax purposes. Winners agree to let our radio stations use their recorded voice for promotional purposes. The prize is nontransferable.
