Spook Hill Cider & Wine 4-Mile Run and 3-Mile Walk

Benefitting Burkittsville’s South Mountain Heritage Society, the Spook Hill Cider & Wine 4-Mile Run takes participants on a scenic jaunt through our historic town, the Boordy Vineyards’ orchard, the Burkittsville Union Cemetery, South Mountain Creamery owned cropland, and the Distillery Lane Ciderworks’ orchard before finishing at the Burkittsville Ruritan Club.
The race has gained national acclaim, appearing in Runners World magazine twice over the years.
Boordy will be on-site offering tastings and Distillery Lane Ciderworks (open to the public only the weekend of Spook Hill this year), is right across the street from Race HQ. Participants can visit the other participating wineries/cideries/meadery (Antietam Creek Vineyards, Willow Oaks Craft Cider & Wine, and Orchid Cellar) on our post-run Spook Hill Tasting Trail, with each venue offering our participants a “Spook Hill Special.” Mazzaroth Vineyard, a boutique winery, is also a supporter of the race, though not open to the general public and is open by appointment only.
