Bike Doctor Frederick Holiday Lights Ride

Enjoy the decorated homes and show off your own ornamented whip. Riders are encouraged to festoon their bike with lights, but the truly creative will go far beyond that. For the creatively dedicated among us, there will be a contest for Best Dressed Bicycle – complete with prizes!

So that our holiday cheer benefits those who need it most, all riders are asked to donate a gift card (CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart) which will be used by the Heartly House to help victims of domestic abuse to have a safe, healthy, and happy holiday. Gift cards to other local businesses are welcome, but Heartly House has identified these as having the greatest potential impact for those they serve.

There will be a collection set-up at Bike Doctor and at the bandshell to collect these gift cards prior to the ride.

Our ride will be approximately 4 miles around downtown Frederick at a very casual pace (~6 mph) and is suitable for riders of all ages. Helmets are required as is a minimum of a rear blinky light. The route will be posted prior to the ride.

Following the ride, participants who are in the spirit will have the option to ride or drive over to the Attaboy Barrel House for an after-party. Beer and food will be available for purchase.
