What is Frederick TBL?
Frederick TBL is one of about a half-dozen new teams joining the TBL with play starting in the Spring of 2024. The league regular season runs twenty-four (24) games long from March – May, with 12 home and 12 away games. Playoffs are in June. Training camp & exhibition games take place in February. We plan to build a community organization that is invested in Frederick County while putting a high level basketball product on the floor! Our goal is for TBL basketball, over time, to be part of the fabric of the community, and a team that the people of Frederick are proud of! The team will be dedicated to provide fun, affordable entertainment for Frederick citizens! We will win on & off the court!
What is the TBL?
The Basketball League (TBL) is a six (6) year old league playing throughout North America. In the Spring of 2023 there are 49 teams in the league, with 46 teams in the USA in small to medium sized markets, and another three (3) teams in Canada. The league is continuing to grow, with a goal of having sixty-four (64) teams in the USA and twenty-four (24) teams in Canada. The league is positioning itself as an alternative option for players who might be playing in professional leagues oversees and are hoping to build their careers towards playing against the highest possible competition. The TBL play is high quality – just a notch below the level of the NBA G-league with a few alumni in the NBA!
